New Education Multimedia Authoring Software for the Web - eZediaQTI 2.0 Showcases at FETC
ORLANDO, FLORIDA - January 22, 2004 - eZedia Inc., a leader in digital-media software technology, showcased
its latest in multimedia authoring software for the web - eZediaQTI 2.0, at the Florida Educational Technology
Conference (FETC).
eZediaQTI 2.0 for Mac OS X was released on January 6, 2004 at Macworld San Francisco. This new release takes full
advantage of Apple's new operating system, Panther, and gives students a quick-and-easy way to create rich media
web deliverable content as interactive QuickTime movies.
"eZediaQTI 2.0 takes the student's work from the confines of the classroom and allows them to share it with their
parents, friends, and other students from around the world," said Stefan Embleton, President and Founder, of eZedia
Inc. "In today's work world, the Internet plays a very important role, and it is critical that our children are taught
how to communicate effectively using this medium. eZediaQTI allows students of all ages, and teachers of any technical
level, to communicate easily over the Internet through web sites and online presentations."
The National Center for Education Statistics state that the proportion of instructional rooms with Internet access has
increased from 50 percent in 1998, to 85 percent in 2001. Educators need tools that easily incorporate into the
classroom and let them use this medium to add value to their student's learning outcomes. eZediaQTI's drag-and-drop
environment allows students of all ages, grades, and skill levels to create interactive online content easily.
With little to no learning curve, eZediaQTI allows the student and teacher to focus on the content and learning,
rather than on mastering technical elements such as computer programming and scripting.
"eZediaQTI is a combination of Flash and PowerPoint on steroids," says Michael Sweeney, Educational Technology Integrator
from the University of South Florida. Kate Kemker, an Apple Distinguished Educator, adds, "eZediaQTI truly allows for the
development of higher order thinking skills with all students, such as critical thinking and problem solving. We used it
for creating portfolios with 5th grade students. It was exciting to see them working through the process to make
everything work."
eZediaQTI 2.0 sells for $79 USD in education, and has special teacher, volume, and site licensing pricing available.
eZediaQTI 2.0 can be purchased online at www.ezedia.com and demonstrations of the
product can be seen at the eZedia Booth #1064 at FETC.
